Learn the ins and outs of cheese-making with sixth generation cheese maker Brian Schlatter.

From Burnt Toast Farms' website:

"Columbus cheese guru Brian Schlatter leads us on another informative and interactive class covering the basics on cheese making, and educates us on more complex cheeses like Quark, Gouda and Gruyére. The class will consist of an introduction to cheese making and the history of cheese, defining what it is and the various origins of different types and why they developed. Then onto the cheese making (fun) portion of the class. In this workshop attendees will discover how to make a soft yummy Quark cheese, and how to add flavoring such as herbs and other natural ingredients."

Participants will learn about the history of cheese, what it's made from, how different cheeses are made, how various milks can be used to make cheese and what roles culture and rennet play in the process. There will, of course, be lots of cheese eating too!

Each participant will learn how to make cheeses.
