“Celebration of Food” day at the Franklin County Fair

Saturday, July 19, is “Celebration of Food” day at the Franklin County Fair. This is the final day of the Fair, and in addition to the standard Fair fun and classic Fair food, this day will offer some new attractions with the foodie in mind. 

  • In partnership with Ohio Proud, the Fair offer cooking demonstrations from local food producers, such as Snowville Creamery out of Southeastern Ohio, Gourmet Farm Girl of Delaware, Mitchell’s Berries from Plain City and Aimee’s Blue Ribbon Spices out of Granville. Demonstrations will be held from noon to 3pm in the entertainment tent near Gate 1. 
  • Guests can also enjoy samples from other Ohio producers, including: Cobblestone Confections of Mansfield, Willy Mac’s of Lucasville, Pasta Ditonis of Columbus, Ohio Farm Direct of Fredericktown, Country Lane BBQ of Perrysburg, A to Z Portion Control Meats of Bluffton and Roger’s Honey of Baltimore. Samples will be availablenoon to 7pm in the entertainment tent near Gate 1.
  • The Junior Livestock Sale will be held at 11am, which is open to the public. This is a great opportunity to source local livestock (sheep, goats, cows, chickens, etc.) raised right here in central Ohio, while supporting 4-H youth.
