Is there anything more “Ohio” than fall?
We might be biased, but we think there’s nowhere more beautiful to be than the streets of Columbus as the days get shorter, the leaves begin to change and we head into the crisper months of autumn. Saying farewell to one of the hottest summers on record, we welcome recipes like oven-roasted chicken pieces, sweet and spicy acorn squash, and Mexican champurrado (pg. 61) to warm our kitchens. It's not only time to harvest pumpkins (pg. 11) and drink craft ciders (pg. 19), but we're also making a special effort over these next few months to reconnect with those we love (pg. 4).
Creating this issue meant we had the privilege of working with some talented creatives, exploring sights outside the city, and as always, learning a lot from our local food community. So grab a sweet something to snack on while we share with you these stories and get ready for more online edibleEXTRAS to keep you full all fall.
We have a feeling this will be our best season yet.
