Granville is a charming town in all seasons. We recently featured highlights in a post about our Favorite Fall Day Trips, all of which are still viable options in colder months.

But now, with the help of Jodi Melfi, Granville business owner and chair of the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Marketing Committee, we're making brunch plans. Find some favorite brunch destinations below to plan your next weekend trip around. Make sure to visit the linked websites to learn more about each business including weekday hours and menus.

Mai Chau on Prospect
138 N Prospect St
(740) 920-4680
www.maichaustreetfood.com
Brunch served Sunday from 10-2pm, Open Mon-Sat 11:30-9pm

Mai Chau on Prospect, born from a successful food truck with focused, flavorful Vietnamese cuisine, is branching into brunch. We love their steam buns and specialty drinks, and it's hard to beat a fragrant, piping hot bowl of noodles on a grey day. Local food start ups and trucks will often "crash" Mai Chau's kitchen on Sunday nights, so follow their social media to learn about guest appearances.

Day Y Noche
134 E Broadway
(740) 587-0204
www.dayynoche.com
Open Sun–Thurs 8am-9pm, Fri and Sat 8am-10pm, Sun 8am-8pm

A colorful downtown mainstay, Day Y Noche is a family-owned Mexican restaurant with an eclectic breakfast menu, served until noon every weekend.

Alfie's Wholesome Food
221 E Broadway, next to Robbins Hunter Museum
(740) 321-1111
Facebook page
Open Saturday 9am-5pm, Closed Sunday, Open 9am-7pm Mon-Fri

What Alfie's lacks in square footage, it makes up for in creativity and flavor. Tucked between the library and Robbins Hunter Museum, Alfie's crafts a full case of prepared foods along with sandwiches, salads and breakfast fare. It's one of the coziest spots in Granville.

Steamroller Bagel
115 N Prospect St
(614) 444-5767
www.steamrollerbagel.com
Open 11am-8pm every day

Steamed bagel sandwiches are treasured by many in Oxford and Athens, Ohio, and they've recently been introduced to Granville via Steamroller Bagel which serves hot, freshly made sandwiches on steamed bagels every day of the week. We've got our eye on the Reuben-Goldberg with thin-sliced corned beef.

Susie Sunshine Sweets
119 E Elm St
(740) 920-4714
Facebook Page
Open 8am-3pm Sat, Closed Sun, Open 7am-5pm Mon-Fri

Susie Sunshine Sweets bakes decadent desserts like cupcakes and frosted cookies all week long, but it's the lure of donuts that makes the weekends special. They're big but you don't have to share.

The Orchard House is an 1850's country manor on 12 historic acres that calls itself, fittingly, "Cosmopolitan Country." Complimentary breakfast is served to all guests and includes ingredients from local purveyors and the on-site farm. This may include eggs from the farm chickens, fruit from the orchard, bread from Lucky Cat’s bakery across the street and herbs from the garden. Visit the website for rates and special packages, including a "hands on" farm experience.

Granville Farmers Market
